which widow....?

Need advice.... Haven't had a black widow hammer since one of all-time favorite balls, the black widow pearl.   Had tried a taboo (blue) and did not match up to that ball at all, so now I'd love to get another widow ball but not sure which one...?   Something that would be like my original BWP is what I'm looking for...  Thoughts?   (I'm a stroker, more down and in player, lower revs, 14-15 ball speed....)   Thanks for any tips!

Lots of people throw Hammer in our area.  It seems like all the Pro shops in the region are Hammer reps.  The Black Widow Legend (Original), has been very successful around here.  We tend to see Stone Street here, which has a fair amount of volume.  (In my opinion).  The Legend Pearl hasn't been great on that pattern.  Just not enough ball for most.  I do think that if your typical league shot is in the 38-40 foot range that the Legend Pearl would be good ... and if it is longer, the original Legend is probably better.  Of course opinions will vary.

Legend is the most versatile of the current Legend line up. BUT the Red legend solid is a Great ball. Typical league shot in my opinion would be the Legend, for more volume THS or tougher sport patterns the Legend Solid is great..

In regards to your question... If you want something similar to your BWP, I would recommend the Legend (original) as the BWP was not a big skid/flip ball reaction. The Legend is very versatile & gets down the lane with ease & offers a smooth backend motion that still has a little pop to kick on the corner pins. The Red Legend Pearl is cleaner & more angular down the lane & the new Red Legend Solid is much stronger overall compare to the other 2 Legends....

I have an assassin and I really love the ball, 1000 polished, looks like a pearl but with the roll of a solid, ball hits really good, looking to get the red legend solid!

You won't regret getting the red solid, it's a great piece. I have it and the paradox I like the paradox but I really  like the red aolid!
