I need to stop trolling the overseas sites. I'm seeing stuff that we'll want but never get! 

Seriously, in looking at the Approved Ball list, it looks like a few overseas rocks made it to the approved list outside of the Black Widow Red, Purple, and Black posted earlier.

First one out of the blocks is a new Black Widow Hybrid, courtesy of S. Korea.


Specs from what I can tell:

Color: Black/Silver/Blue
Cover: Aggression NE Hybrid
Core: Gas Mask

I am not sure on the finish, but guessing off the coverstock, we're probably looking at 500/1000 Siaair with Compound, which the same finish and coverstock on the Redemption Hybrid. The color reminds me of my son's 8lb Silver/Blue/Black C300 White Dot, and with the logo in that bright red, it really pops.

My guess is that this will stay overseas, as the US market is focusing on the Obsession and Obsession Tour until later on in the year.

Speaking of Obsession, on the other side of that pond in Japan, a Super Obsession was released:

Didn't take them long to put a pearl version out, but it will probably be a while before it makes it here.. I'd guess to say the fall, if the pattern of the Web Tour Hybrid holds up (it was released in Japan a year before it was redesigned and came out in the US).

After that, comes the Black Widow Real Monster (definitely a Japanese sounding name for a ball).

Gotta admit, the ball looks pretty. Definitely more angular at the back versus how much smoother the 2.0 is.

Finally, they are bringing the Clears back.

The Clears will definitely be sought after; I wouldn't be surprised if somewhere like BowlersMart got their hands on a limited run of these.

What sucks right now is that one of the airlines just had a $250 round trip flight to Japan.. If COVID didn't suck donkey nads right now, I'd make that flight just to go bowling ball shopping! Spend more on the balls than you do the entire flight!

I'll definitely let everyone know if they show up on this side of the pond.

If they really wanted to go crazy with the clears, they should do a clear that has the actual gas mask core as the center (similar to the old Clear Wolf.)  They would sell like crazy.

If I remember right, this came out a year after the Hammer Cube. I remember asking about if this was the true Gas Mask Core like they have in the actual BW lineup, similar to what they did with the True Blood, when they put the First Blood core into a polyester cover.
