Yeah we've already started our season in Northwest Indiana. I'm a junior on the Chesterton High School team

Yea i hope i do good. Im pretty much guaranteed a spot on varsity. Now i just have to persuade the whole team that making me anchor would be better than last year's anchor.

Thats cool, just from being in a somewhat similar position, you shouldn't worry about your lineup spot, let the coach decide and don't mess with those with seniority, until your upperclassmen its best IMO to learn and prepare for you to be the head of the team in your senior year, not to say throw this year away but you need to not rush but plan ahead. Good luck

Well our coach doesn't decide it. We do because our coach is a joke. He can't teach u bowling, but he can teach u how to eat cheese fries in under 30 seconds.

We have our first match on tuesday, and I was just appointed captain by my team mates.  Should be a good season, we only lost one person from varsity.  Good luck and Good bowling to all you guys.

My first match of the season was against the same team we went up against last year and beat for the sectional title. Me and the kid I was going up against were both tied going into the 10th, we both had the front 9. I step up on the lane and all the pins just fell over before I could even throw a ball, if that wasn't a omen I don't know what is. So, I step up throw the first one, then my nerves are getting too me and i finally take the second shot and leave a ringing 10 pin, my heart just sunk. The kid I was going up against continues on and shots a 300. So I ended up losing with a 289. What a great way to start the season though.

Does anyone else's coach not know a thing about bowling.  Has not held one team practice, and has not arranged for a bus to home matches?  Because I don't think our "coach" has ever held a bowling ball in his life.  So I am attempting to get Amatuer Ebonite Bowler Mike Bixler to help coach our team.  He also is the manager of our home lanes so hopefully we will be able to set up some practices.
