Hey,Ballreviewyittes,I’m back,I dunno why,but I’m back.This time to tell you all about the newest Lane #1 ball,The Black Cherry Bomb! I bought it NIB,it’s 14lbs 4ozs w/Top weight of 2lbs,7 ozs.I think the pin was a 1-2”.My ball was done “Stacked Leverage”,with the finger holes and thumb going 12:00 straight down and the pin is 1” inch away from CG.Also there is a drilled hole 4” inches on the right side of the ring finger.I noticed this ball is less shiny than its cousin Cherry.Now it’s test time,this pair I bowled on was Medium Oil.This ball Is a trip!! I threw it on the 7 board and its slid and rolled,its hard to explain,but I was liking this.I tried another area,this time,the middle main BIG ARROW,then I swung out the BCBomb to the 12  board aiming in the gutter department.This ball comes back!I did this several times getting many good strikes and a couple of deflective strikes!I forgot ta mention,I’m using a 14 as opposed to a 15/16,which give more revs and junk like that.On a ok note if you miss your mark,you will get solid  â€œ6’s ,7’s even  8’ pins.This ball is very versatile,I only picked up two “10” pins tonite,but I just got it drilled very recently.Other than that it makes a pretty neat emergency spare ball.I pulled a RARE tonight,for tha first time in a year and a half,I only used “”1”” ball,this Black Cherry Bomb!Ok,later I bowled in a NEW TEST condition for new balls,I decided to bowl this on Cosmic Bowl Night!!!! Ok,this time the lanes are getting a bit drier,they still have oil on them,but its scattered throughout this pair I’m on. Man!!This ball is very cool,I  walked straight  from the 3rd board on left side and swung it out to the 12 to 15 boards on the right group of arrows,it rolls/slides then CAAARRRRRAAASSH!!! Comes in the backends like a runaway truck!! When the lane got more drier I moved on the left side a scosh more with simaliar Swinging out in 2nd arrowland! Dang if I didn’t get strikes there too!!Hahahahhaha,so far this ball is a keeper.On me I noticed wherever I throw whether it be the 4 board kinda fast or a monster swing hook at the far left almost walking into the gutter line in leftsideland!This ball hooks so differently on several lane conditions.The only conditions I haven’t tried on is Sport Shot and Heavy Oil.I’m sure other future reviewers will type that in.I bowled 21 games on two totally different conditions tonight and feel this is a very neato ball.I’m looking forward to using VERY often.The only problem I had with this ball is on light or dry,I was CLOSE but I couldn’t get 10 pins .I forgot,I only brought one ball!Ummm,but I bowled a lot of strikes and had my highest game in the DARK(kinda),a  299!Ugg!A solid "6 pin"! Yayayayaya it don’t count,BUT on COSMIC Bowling,hey,that’s a fun thing to accomplish!I have proof on a printout so my oddball friends dont think I'm lying,LOL!. Especially with all that LOUD MUSIC,COURTSEY LANE BREAKING,DANCING PEOPLES and I still keep my cool with the BC Bomb.That’s my fun(aka hokey,but a little informative review).Hey!I try to tell what I exactly experienced,give or take a sentence!!.I give this ball an ””A”” solid!Even if I type my explanations a bit odd,TAKE MY WORD FOR IT,it’s a cool ball!BTW this ball actually took me 7 games to break it in!Lastly plz dont cyber tease my review on another post,thanks.

man this ball hooks!i'm a heavy handed righty bowling in a house with 38 "of oil thick in the middle and of course outside of 8 is dry.i started playing 20 on a fresh shot but was going left way toooo much .so i put a gloss on it and now its much more controllable and hits like my original cherry did.awesome ball and im sure ill sell tons in my shop!more about me my pap is over 5 and 5/8 and up 1 inch .i layed the ball out with a 5x5 layout to make sure ball wouldn't be too strong but its still screamin. for people with less hand this ball should rule for anyone needing help to hook.only question will be will the coverstock last or will it die in a couple of months i will check in a few to give updates!

WOW! I've had this ball a litle over a week and that is the best way to describe it. Had it drilled with the lane 1 length drilling. This ball skids a good 35 feet, if not more. When it starts to rev there is no stopping it. I have never had a ball i could play this deeply with.  Make no mistake, it is very agressive, but you sawheads know what i mean when i say it's a smooth agressive. Rolls more like a pearl for me than a solid. This might just be the ball that gets other guys in my house rolling lane 1. Right now i'm the only one out there. Shop here charges too much so I go elsewhere to buy. Great ball by the guys and i'm looking forward to buying the xxl next.

I got this ball from Doug Sterner NIB.  It had a 2-3" pin and I believe a 2.75 oz top. I had it drilled Label 1:30 with a small weight hole just below my PAP

I got it a few weeks ago and needed time to make a good review.  On the right conditions(Medium/Heavy), I typically stand 25 drift to about 27 and roll around 20.  I get it over the 3rd and eventually about to about 7, where it reads the back end and makes a very hard turn left.  It's almost a snap, but not quite.  Aside from the very rare pocket 7-10(seems to happen when I don't release it clean), I rarely leave 10 pins... maybe 1 in a 3 game set.  If I can adjust and get the ball to the pocket, this ball is devastating.  HOWEVER, if I tug it inside just a little too much, this ball is so strong, I better pray it doesn't ignore the oil and go driving into the head pin.

Overall this ball fits my game to a tee.  I have short video clips of what my ball looks like lane wise when I roll it right.  PM me and I will e-mail you the clips.  

This ball is a 9.5 out of 10 in my book.  Compliments my Cherry Bomb very well.  The only ball to get a 10 so far is my Emerald Pearl.

  Condition: fresh oil before leagues.  I'm not sure of the pattern, but it seemed like a typical block pattern with clean backends.

  Anyhow, I only got to throw about four games with this ball so far, and this is not the condition that I intend to use it on most often, as my pearl cherry bomb already does just fine on fresh with clean backends, but I like what I see thus far. This ball clears the heads very easily, revs up strong in the midlane and makes a strong and remarkably continuous move through the deck. I tried several different lines and hand positions with this bad dog, and it was very receptive to each and every one. I was able to crank the ball up and swing the lane, and I was able to play the ball with less hand straight up second arrow and the ball walked in and absolutely smashed in both cases. From what I can tell, this ball will be perfect for squaring up when the pearl cherry encounters too much oil down the lane. The only downfall that I can see is that this ball can have the tendency to hit too hard. If you miss inside with this one, forget about it. The hit is so continuous and strong that it will just blast straight through with little deflection. However, on the flip side, light hits and swishers just throw pins out of the way. It's too early to assign a rating for this ball, but I have little doubt that I'm going to love this one every bit as much as its pearl brother, if not more. Another great product from Lane 1.

Drill Pattern. 1:30 Label

I use this ball on wood lanes with a 43 foot Christmas tree pattern. I like to stand at 25 and throw between the 2nd and 3rd arrow. My break point is around the 7th board. My ball speed is 18 - 18.5 mph with about 250 revs. When I first got this ball I tried using it with the box finish on it. However, I had a lot of over/under reaction with it. I took a grey scotch bright pad to it and took the shine off it. After that it was very controllable. The best way to describe the reaction of the ball is...it clears the heads very well (as long as you have oil), revs up in the midlane, and makes a strong arcing move to the pocket. The cover stock has been very durable and shows very little signs of wear. I would recommend this ball to anyone. Thanks.
