Pattern: 35' top hat buffed to 40' Medium Units. (THS)

1st Shift: Standing 25 and using normal release with med revs, targeting 17 at the arrows and breakpoint of 6 off of the top hat, this ball is very smooth and readable. Carry is above average and it keeps the pins very low but active. As set progresses, normal moves are generally easy and readable as this ball doesn't just jump off the dry. Haven't found the carrydown to effect this ball much.

2nd shift: Standing 35 and targeting 23 at the arrows and 10 at the breakpoint, this ball was simple to move deeper than the first set with the same rellease and ball speed/revs. Still continued to be very readable off of the top hat and deeper moves through set progression still showed the ball to recover well and continue to store enough energy to drive through the pin deck. Carrydown still didn't effect the ball even though deeper angles.

Likes: This ball is great for lane readability and can handle Medium to medium Heavy conditions. Carrydown not much of an issue regardless of line on THS units of oil. Carry is great.

Dislikes: None at this time

Comments: Perfect ball for it's meant condition. Have thrown this ball about 20 games to date. Ball needs head oil and midlane to get to the breakpoint in out of box condition. Will always be the 1st ball out of my bag at tournaments.

drilled 5 x 4.5, pin almost centered below and between fingers...75 degrees...

THS..ball in very versatile, first game i was still playing around with thumbhole and shot 196..after i got it right shot 225, 236..this was fresh shot...kept moving around seeing what the ball could do..second set i really concentrated..played 16 to 10 with a little tilt, shot 244..ball just destroys the pins..second game i moved further right played 10-5..up the back of the ball and firm..shot 255...third game moved in played 21-10, shot 267..ball was under control all night, had to throw it really bad to throw it through the break point or leave something crazy...

compared to polished super carbide bomb(drilled similar to solid cobalt but at 60 degrees)...i got a similar look, carbide rolls a little stronger and earlier but solid cobalt isn't far behind...solid cobalt has more pop on the back...about 4-5 boards more hook...overall a great ball..

tsunami(4.5x4 pin down 75 degrees) is longer and a little less pop in back than solid cobalt..

tsunami is my fav ball in my bag but i can see ths solid cobalt taking its place soon...

I drilled this one the same as my pearl cobalt bomb, 4 1/2 x 3 3/8 with the pin 2 3/4 up from my mid line. Weight hole on the pap to bring back to 1/2 oz positive.

I wanted this ball to give me the same look on fresh oil, as my Pearl Cobalt gives me on broke down patterns, and it does. This ball reads the mid lane and drives through the pocket the same as the Pearl Cobalt, only it does it in more oil.

This ball seems to carry everything and the only reason I put it down is because it lets you know right away when the lanes are getting too dry for it. It starts hooking noticeably early, but still manages to mellow out on the back end and hit pocket, then it is time to put it down and bring out the pearl.

Thanks to these two balls I have been able to bring most of my equipment home, where I used to have 5 balls now I only need two.
