First Let me say that this is the Polished version, which is approved by the USBC. See my profile for bowler specs.
specs: 15#, 2" pin, and 2.5 ounces of TW.
layout: pin below the ring, slight right of 6 o'clock, and cg slightly right of grip center, almost stacked (no weight hole needed).
conditions: 10 units of oil (1-6 board), 20 units (7-11), and approx. 30 units from 12-12 (middle), with the length of 38', and clean backs. Pattern is somewhat like a christmas tree/staggered.
Started out standing 27 board (with left foot) throwing approx. 13/14 board to 9/10, with awesome reaction, but with my speed, even with decent revs, if I laid it down to deep, it recovered light, but still carried, with a couple of weak 10s. If I tugged it a bit, too much into the oil, it held the line, with often a better power strike than a flushed shot. First and second games were 225, and 205, due to a couple of bowler errors, and mental mistakes.
Third game, setteled down, and some carry down, but boy did the lanes open up, moved to 29 board with left foot, and threw 16 out to 10, with pocket crushing results, and if I went a couple of boards wide, it still caught the lighter boards, and still made the pocket. Final game was a 258, and should have been higher, but took me a couple of frames to make the move deeper.
Flare pattern on my dull SCB is almost 9-10", and with the PSCB, I was getting almost 8" of flare. What a ball, I am considering getting a second PSCB, with a 4" pin, and seeing if I can lay it out for medium conditions (possibly with a sanding to 800 or 1000, and polish). I am so glad they approved this ball, and would recommend it to anyone, depending on profile, and desired conditions.
I would give it a 10 of 10!!
