15lbs, pin 1-2"
315 degree layout. Pin to PAP distance 3 3/8"
Condition #1: Slightly Slick houseshot with carrydown on synthetics
Ball went straight. Too straight. Not the right matchup for this lane condition. However when played frozen rope to the pocket, the carry was excellent, as it is with most Lane#1 equipment.
Condition #2: THS with SQUEAKY clean backends and outsides on newly resurfaced wood lanes.
Ball still held very well and got SUPERB length, but did check up and roll on the backend. Not real snappy with this layout, just VERY controllable. The hit and carry are excellent. Great ball to open up a very fresh shot on this condition. When everything else is JUMPING to the left, this ball holds it course and rolls up hard in the pocket.
Overall:
At first i was dissapointed, just didnt like the layout. I really have to square up and play it down and in, but thats not a bad thing, now is it?
But when i took it to the second bowling alley, i realized i had a ball that was unlike anything else in my arsenal. Definately gonna keep it. Since i dont like to use plastic, this will probably be my new spare ball and my first ball out of the bag when the backends are TOO much. It also pushes through the heads like a champ when they are burned up. However with the layout i put on it, doesnt have enough to pick up the pace on the second half of the lane. It really is perfect for REAL fresh lanes, and i'm sure with a more standard layout would be a great light oil ball, probably similar to the Sonic X Pearl.
