Tsunami H2O
« on: October 05, 2005, 01:34:05 AM »
I just wanted to say this is one sweet looking ball.  I can't believe how awesome it looks in person I just got mine yesterday from Doug Sterner.  I will try and take a pic in my free time soon if I can.  I only hope the camera will do it justice.   I wanna punch it ASAP I am still learning and not quite ready to drill my own stuff yet, I gotta have this drilled I might go ahead and get my driller to do it for me, I can't wait to throw it.

On edit I did not get the new glove yet but am looking forward to it even though i dont typically wear anything I wanna try it just cause it lane#1.  Anybody got a pic of the actual glove yet?

I can't wait to see what it does the cover and reaction really interests me, the ball I got feels super tacky not sure what kind of polish or finish it has but its really almost sticky feeling.  I like it.

Well, Jesse, nice to hear that you have got your Tsunami.
I got mine last Monday. I had it drilled stacked. In
box finish, this ball skid quite long (not as long
as the H20) on medium oil with carry down. The backend hook is
VERY STRONG and it hits the pins very hard. After three games I
guess, the backend hook is just too much for me. It hooks to the head
pin most of the time (always misses the pocket). Dulled it
to 1000 grit, nows it hooks earlier with a bit smoother
backend hook, just like my Hybrid Dirty Bomb. Now, looks like it needs more oil on the lanes in order to be useful.

looks to me like the Tsunami and H2o would be a great 1/2 combo!

I'm referring to JUST THOSE 2 balls....as if those were the only Lane1's you had ....that would be your league combo....

I have the H20 and the Tsunami as my only two Lane # 1 balls..  I bowl alot of tournaments and glad I added them to my arsenal!  I threw my H20 Last night in league action subbing on a team, so perfect practice!!  Lots of carry down on the right side due to all the down and in bowlers on my pair.  There was one time when the H20 caught too much of this carry down and didn't make it back to the pocket.  But, this is what I wanted out of the H20..  Not much hook on oil!!  I will find some drier lanes where it will work like I want it too...

Can't wait to get my Tsunami!!

Beans drilled up my Tsunami last night. Before I get to the ball, though, I want everyone to know what an excellent job he did. If you ever get a chance to have Beans do a ball for you....take it!
Now the lanes in Nanticoat are another story. Old, Wood, LOTS of oil.
But even with rented shoes, no Robbys support on, and 8 lanes of league bowlers watching me, I pounded the pocket for a big X on my first throw. I'd like to say I didn't throw a bad shot after that, but that wasn't the case.  I really was just trying to feel the ball out. When I threw it where I wanted, I struck, the alleys didn't like a light hit though, and kept giving me double wood spares.( which I chopped )
All in all it was a good experience for me, and one guy that was watching, went in and bought a Tsunami for himself. ( so I guess I bowled allright). I threw it this afternoon in Hazleton and scored much better. It moved smooth and carried the light and high hits.
I think I'm gonna like this ball......ALOT!
Thanks again Beans for a job well done!
