277 with the teal buzzsaw
« on: March 17, 2007, 02:52:42 PM »
got my teal out today for a small adult youth tourney with my daughter at her youth league this am, its a youth league so the shot is always always crap, dry heads little carry down, snappy mids, started first game and managed a 219 (mind you this WAS an 8 pin no tap lol) so make a ball change to the teal and go 297 with two 9 pin no taps in there, start the next game off with 8 in a row legit, 7 count spare sheet 277 legit

man is this ball ever smooth, I punched it up to take to Reno with me to combat spotty drier shot and man do i think it will do it.

carry is great with this ball, and the solid pk18 stock is smooth, got to weigh it up as i think it is borderline on that 1oz side weight area but not by much if any, and a little side weight out of it will make it even better in my book  great older peice, if you get the chance to get one do it, one of the great ones from lane 1

beleive it or not i took this in on trade, fully plugged ready to go for a single drill impulse zone, wasnt going to punch it up and thought it would be ideal for the nationals shot where i need to tame the backend down (backs kill me there getting it to move after the oil has nver been an issue for me at nationals)

it rolls well rolls true and accepts different speed variations and lines easily, can see it being a favorite soon

You stole it...  LOL

My dad bought mine back when they first came out then past it on to me, and since our spans are exactly the same I never had to redrill it.    I have been thinking of putting a new thumb slug in it as the one in it now is an old vinyl slug and tends to get sticky as the night goes on.
