4 ball lane 1 arsenal and its cost
« on: September 16, 2004, 04:57:53 AM »
Hey all, I am getting ready to redo my bag and am "considering" lane 1. I was thinking of getting these balls
Solid Uranium- medium heavy
Golden Nugget- medium carrydown/control ball
Pearl Uranium-fresh medium
Bullet-light
What do you guys think and can ayone give me a rough estimate on the best price of all four balls? Buddies would be $645 plus shipping, is there any better price out there? Let me know.

Thanks, cooksey

Line up looks fairly good to me.  I would talk to beansproshop and then drillwizard or doug sterner to see if they can't cut you some slack since you would be buying 4 at one time.  Anytime I buy in lumps like that I try to get some type of special deal but I deal with my local guy.  Try beans first and tell him I sent you he is very good.

looks like a good selection ,but maybe you want to try a cherry bomb instead of the nugget...all the guys mentioned above are all first rate.

When I add the prices, I get $695 plus shipping,(approx $60 or more depending where you live) plus drilling,(approx $45 per ball or total of $180) so you are probably looking at a total cost of around $935 for all. That is an average cost of $234.50 per ball. (Ball, Shipping, and Drilling with thumb slug and inserts)

why dont you just go on a 7 day cruise?
or maybe put a lane in your basement?

$240 a ball...and you wonder why we criticize people who use lane #1

i have a 4 ball storm arsenal that includes abs shoes, and two storm tote bags, and its about $350 less than what youre looking at.  those marketing people at lane #1 deserve some kind of award for what theyve been able to do.

I concur with scottie on the GN. It's a good ball, but IMO it would skid on carrydown.

The Golden Nugget will definitely not skid through carrydown PJR.

I have owned the Golden Nugget and Storm Depth Charge and found that the Depth Charge will do everything the Golden Nugget will do plus the Depth Charge is a much stronger ball, so I sold the Golden Nugget.

When a NEW bowler comes on and talks about buying HIGH TECH balls .. it's always suggested they use the money for a GOOD COACH .. if you are going to buy these balls then get them drilled .. I think there's a couple of good HEAD DOCTOR'S I can refer you too!

What r u talking about a lane is 30,000 thats a horrible analogy but the difference between your sotrm four ball arsenal is that storm sucks.(Well my third fav. company but they cant compare to lane1)

$30,000???...is that what a lane from lane #1 costs?  you may not be able to get one with the price i said, but it certainly isnt $30,000.  next time you decide to debate something, try putting some actual information into it.  have fun wasting your money on equipment thats no better than any other company.  like i said, those marketing people at lane #1 should really get some kind of award for the job theyve done.  where else can you find a similar product selling for almost 50% more and actually getting customers.  amazing how many pba titles have been won with their equipment...i lost count.

Not trying to fight or anything, but mine did... it was a very skid-snap ball. It didn't react like a typical particle ball IMO (it was polished).
