724 out the box with the EU
« on: January 05, 2006, 05:39:56 AM »
Received the Enriched Uranium from Buddies Pro shop yesterday drilled it last night and with no practice except for a couple of shadow balls, I shot a 724.  Thats good for me.  I have struggled in this house.

I drilled the ball with the pin over my ring finger and the pin 3 inches straight down below with no balance hole.  My pap is 4 7/8 and 5/8 up.

Its a single person morning league and I had to shot against the local pro and San Diego State bowling coach, great guy, and won all games for today at least.  He shot extremely well as well.  he's such a great guy and he helped me with my game by so simple coaching.  I always get up to bowl against the local pros.  I know that on the shot they bowl on,  wouldn't have even been in the same ball park with my scores.

The EU drilled like this got down the lane very well and revved up easily and did not over react when it hit the break point.  It just rolled up to the pocket and crushed it.  It carried light hits fairly well.

I think I'm going to see if I can find someone to trade me a EU for The One I have around here collecting dust.

Nicanor: Nice shooting with the EU, and I'm glad you're matching up to the ball. Given how you like the EU, I'm surprised that you didn't like the Pearl Uranium.

Anyway, I hope you have continued success with the ball.

Steven,

I think I track low and maybe I spin the ball a little too much.  I think the more aggressive coverstock of the EU has helped my ball reaction, something I didn't have with the original Uranium.  Plus every year I learn more about bowling, bowling balls and lane conditions and if I had that ball still, I might have had a little more luck with it.

Thanks for the response.

Nic, we all know better...it's all in the body language.

Nice shooting!  Looking forward to seeing you up here again soon.

Bracket Creep,

You named me 10 on the deck  But these were 10 in the parking lot.  Buried deep.

Hope you had a wonderful Christmas.
