Having Trouble with EU - Anyone else? help...
« on: April 28, 2006, 03:57:46 AM »
i first had this ball drilled with pin right and a little bit above ring finger with cg about 3inches below.  this ball went too long for me. i didn't like the the way it rolled so i had plugged and redrilled to pin under ring finger with cg about 1 inch right of thumb.

i'm your average righty who throws a little over medium speed with alot of revs.  on synthetic oily lanes, forget about throwing this ball because it does not hook back at all.  on synthetic medium lanes,  it is not the most hooking ball.  this ball kills when it's med dry.

most likely it's me that's the problem and this ball is not suited for my game.  i got the ball according to lane 1 spec that this ball will hook in hevy oil.  has anyone else experienced this?

i don't really want to replug the ball again so please help me in a way of suggestions as to what else can i do with this ball...

what Retroman said

more likely you have not ran into the condition that the EU likes the most, and when you do, you will not believe how this ball reacts

I would suggest to hang on to it for a while and give another ball, less condition specific, a chance and see what happens.  Dirty Bomb, Cobalt will be a good choice.

what happened to you, happened to me with the Tsunami.  when i first got it, the ball seemed dead and was a bit disappointed, so I put it aside for few weeks and one day decided to give it another chance and ended up shooting 776 with it.  Now I know which condition this ball likes

GUARANTEED, you WILL NOT be disappointed with the Cobalt.  I have 2 (one drilled for medium/light to light, and the other drilled for light to light/dry.  This ball is so versatile for me, that I may get a 3rd, drilled with the pin above the middle finger for drier stuff.  Definitely is a ball I would recommend for any bowler.

i bowled with mine in the state tournament here and while everyone elses never cut thru i got my eu to work really well.  i just had to slow down a little bit thats it.  it is drilled withe negative side weight and to roll early.  Between it and my black cherry first balls out of bag unless unsually dry
