Third time out with the Agent Orange
« on: November 20, 2008, 05:26:01 AM »
Thank you for following along.

I used 2000 Ablaron on the Agent Orange before league today and the ball was still too strong for the condition I was on today.

I think I'll leave it like this though till I find some more oil.  This morning's shot has a light oil rather short.  I tried it down and in them moved way left left the big 4 and a greek church.

I was looking for an oil ball like this for a while, so before I put any polish on the ball, I'll carry it around like this for a while.

Thanks for the feedback.

What happened to the other (first) post about this ball?

I deleted them myself.  I didn't want anybody to think I was clogging up the Lane 1 forum.  Sorry if I deleted it too early.

Barry,

Just a reminder, although I'm sure you have a feeling about some of this by now. 2000 grit Abrlaon is 1000 grit US, kind of a middling level of roughness, where 800 grit (US) on many oilers is very strong. (The 2000 number makes it sound finer than it is.)

I'm personally still not sure just how strong the coverstock on the AO actually is. I suppose we'll learn something about it in your experiments.

Good luck, again.

I'll add my two cents, mine is at 4k abralon, and on the fresh 40 ft pattern we are on, this thing flat out cuts thru the oil (granted i have plenty of hand) I let a low rev teammate throw tonight and this ball flat out hooks for him, i have no polish on my just the 4k abralon, my BB/R is at factory with a coat of the sauce on it, the AO is 5-8 boards stronger, and just a tick earlier, the two balls are comparable in length but the AO is far superior on the move

Anybody have enough oil out there to toss this in oob condition??

There has been a lack of oil out here since oil went to $100 per barrell and it has come back since the price went down below $50.
