chainsaw
« on: February 03, 2009, 12:10:56 PM »
i got a chainsaw in the mail today and bowl on a third shift league. i usually use my cell pearl drilled pin under ring finger . when the lanes are really dry i cant get it to move much (my own inexperience). so with my lack of knowledge was wondering if i could ask those of you with years of experience if you would have any layout ideas for my chainsaw it is #15.2oz pin 1inch 2.3/4ozs I'm a med revs cranker (right handed). just another newbie bugging the oldtimers.

i aint no old timer, but if your having a problem getting a cell pearl to move on a fried condition, then imo something is wrong, unless its already burnt up before the break point.

you said you were a med revz cranker i dont know what that means ( sorry no offense )

cell pearl is way stronger than the chainsaw, but alas
you have a short pin chainsaw yeah ?

if it were me i would go stacked leverage 4x4 pin above fingers, and a x hole if needed

keep us posted

thanks dawg i really just figured on going that route but wanted to see if anyone had any suggestions. well on the cell pearl some times the lanes are really dirty on the backend like last week and i could really not get the ball to break in the right spot it i my only strikes were brooklyns. my spare ball was working over time on 5 and 10 pins. and yes i really like my cell pearl so much i gave my black widow to my friend.

i haven't used the C'saw yet its in the shop, but from everything ive seen its not going to jerky at all, but real nice and smooth
nothing outrageous on the back, but still a decent steady move.

its meant for toasty dry lanes, and you should do well with it.

Sounds to me like your bowling on severe carrydown... not what the chainsaw was meant for .... at all.

More loft would help get through the fried heads and if consistant you should get some hook outta the cell that way...

I bowl on second shift lanes, and my chainsaw has plenty of length. It is drilled stacked with pin above ring.

If it is carrydown and dry heads, a particle pearl may serve your needs better
