Come up with some new ideas. You're way behind 99% of other ball companies. The diamond core and PowrKoil covers are older than the dinosaurs. They're already dead, so bury them for heaven's sake. You'll never see Lane#1 on TV until they start coming up with something new. How about introducing a ball with a stronger mass bias. That would be nice.

I'm sure he locked it so no one could bash him in his own post.  This looks like a good one to do it in.

How is saying "PowerKoil covers are dead" logical?

It's not, that's purely ancedotal. Besides if it's been said once it's been said a million times, what may not work for you will work miracles for someone else. The PK18 coverstock is durable, adjustable, and predictable. Combined with the symmetrical diamond core you've got a great ball to read lanes & make adjustments with.

Did you watch the PBA on ESPN2 weeks ago? Mike Koivuniemi shot a 300 with a Stinger 2 Piece. That core is almost 4 years old now. To say that just because a core is old it's ineffective is hardly a logical statement.

All Bowlinggod did was make an absurd & unfortified argument & then put his fingers in his ears & shout "LA LA LA LA I CANT HEAR YOU LA LA LA"

The logic is stunning. <rolleyes>

I love tough guys who exercise their freedom of speech behind a keyboard with a fake screen name.

But hey, come to Boardwalk in Orlando for the ballreview thing, and you may be able to express it to my face. I'll be where the BowlingGod is Gay shirt, some come over and say high.

As far as PowerKoil 18 being dead, I disagree. What I do agree on is that it shouldn't be used in high end stuff (ie. 'Saws and Zones) anymore, unless the companies want to start lowering their prices. It's like having a car based on a 1980s design sell for top dollar nowadays. Sure if you build a brand-new 1985 Toyota Camry it'll get the job done just as well now as back then, but it shouldn't cost the same as a newly designed model. If you're saying PK18 is the best there is to offer and you aren't going to do R&D anymore, why not pass the savings from that lack of R&D onto the consumer?

Personally I love the coverstock, but it should be left to the Monsters and other less expensive balls.

OK.. stupid question, I'm not a buzzhead....

Is the PowerKoil 18 coverstock Lane 1 uses the same one that Brunswick uses?  I remember years ago I thought I heard someone say that Brunswick had ties to Lane 1 in some way or other...

King,

For what it's worth, on the ball path graphics Lane #1 uses in their ball descriptions, the pins that are set up on the lane have the Brunswick logo on them.
