I haven't thrown a 300 with mine, but man do I love this ball.  I'd say I use it about 85% of the time.

I've found the Cobalt to be surprisingly good.  I wanted something a little longer than my ONE that would make a reliable turn when the ONE started grabbing too much.  I had the Cobalt drilled to go a little long in addition to it naturally being a touch longer than the ONE.

Now on Medium-Dry with clean back ends OR Medium with broken down unreliable back ends the Cobalt has quickly become my go to ball.  And even though I am generally dismissive of claims of a strong "Hit" this ball really does have an amazing hit.  I don't put much on the ball and don't generally exceed 17mph and still the Cobalt hits so dramatically hard that it still often startles me.

And like "hit" I'm also often skeptical of great carry claims.  But, again, the Cobalt seems to carry significantly better than most of my equipment, and I own and use many high end balls.

So I expected the Cobalt to be a good ball but it has turned out to be a terrific ball.  And although it is irrelevant to performance it is nice icing on the cake that it is one of the best looking bowling balls I've ever seen.

The Cobalt has easily the most backend of any ball I have thrown, including the One, and many others.  I can use this on the same line as my Strike Zone in oil, and just when you think it isn't going to make the turn, it changes direction and recovers nicely.

I have had a difficult time with stone 9's in particular with this ball; it creates such an aggressive angle into the pocket that it just doesn't deflect enough to kick out the 9 in many cases.  Last week in league I left 3 in one game (the only game I threw the Cobalt).

You have to give this ball plenty of room.  In other words, don't try playing a tight line with it or you will pay full price in the form of thru-the-nose splits.

Mine is drilled stacked with pin over ring.  A less aggressive (perhaps label or axis) drill would put this ball in the category of my Dirty Bomb reaction wise.
