Apples and Oranges
« on: January 03, 2006, 10:18:00 AM »
I know I'm going to mix apples and oranges here but tomorrow I am getting the Enriched Uranium. I asked for a recommended drilling for this ball and received some good recommendations.  Now that I have filled some spots in my arsenal I hope to use this as the bench mark ball.

The XXXcel drilled rev leverage is the ball I throw on heavy/medium heavy oiled lanes with the Big Time a step down.

Then I have the Big Time pearl with the pin under the ring finger and the MB at about 45 degrees.  I use this for medium light oil.  Not light oil.

I just drilled the Pure Hammer burgundy 1:30 pin under but to the right of the ring finger a touch and the cg mid palm.

Now I would like to fit the ball between the XXXcel/Big Time and the Big Time pearl (if thats possible.  I do not want a skid flip drilling or a drilling that reads the lanes to early and burns up its energy too soon.  I know its a tall order but I know there are some great ball drillers on the website and those who are not great ball drillers, but have a great deal of knowledge of drilling bowling balls.

Thank you.

i would suggest pin under cg out---this is alot stronger than your big time, and for me proved a great drilling for this amazing ball....

hi-i would say about 4 o'clock from the pin or approx 2.5 inches from the center line...stacking the cg below the pin would be a smooth reaction but less backend...for me, the ball goes fairly long, hence i like the pin under to get some earlier roll....if you have a slow ball speed, you could put the pin above the bridge and teh cg out to get more length...have several saws like this too and  that drilling is great..

good luck
