Hey guys,
I've been thinking about plugging and redrilling my Time Bomb. Right now, the thing barely moves for me. If it's heavy oil ill go back to my Virtual Gravity, and if its anything less, my Curve is smoother with more backend. My Time Bomb is just a dud many nights. The only way I can get it to hook is to throw it slowly with 90 deg of axis rotation...
I dont have any actual specs, but the pin is to the right and above my ring finger, CG kicked out maybe 35-40 degrees, small balance hole above my pap. I throw at about 300 rpms, 17 mph, low tilt, 60 deg axis rotation. Sometimes the ball will hook slowly and smooth, but I found I have to stand about 5-10 boards right of where I stand with my Curve if I want to get it back to the pocket. I've played with the surface some (OOB, then polished, then 1k, then 4k) and I've been considering taking it back to 2k and redrilling.
Has anyone tried Double Thumb drilling with the TB? I want something that has a nice angular snap at the end, not something that slowly migrates towards the pins like a spare ball on dry lanes. I love the way the TB hits and carries, but I dont like the shape of the hook at all (very mild arc, no backend snap).
Ill try to figure out specs about my PAP too, i know its right near the center of my grip, maybe 4-5 inches over. I think right now the pin is about 3-4 inches from my PAP.
Any ideas?
