Hey everyone,

I'm about to pick up an XL for dry lanes, and I'm thinking of going with Lane 1's pin axis drilling for it. This drilling is supposed to give length of 10 and a backend of 4. Has anyone used this drilling for this ball? I'm just curious to see how people have used this drillling have liked it for dry lanes. If nobody has used this drilling, has anyone used a different drilling that has allowed this ball to shine on dry? I don't need this ball to be for mediums, as my Cherry Bomb is more than suitable for any mediums I face. I want to use this ball for dry, not toast, but dry nonetheless. Any help that you guys could give would be appreciated.

I have this ball and it's been drilled label leverage and CG out as well.

The label leverage was over under on everything except fresh patterns with clean backs. It either hated oil or hated dry, and it showed that to me by leaving numerous pocket 7-10 splits.

Plugged and redrilled to the CG out pattern works well now, carries and hits better, but still no way in any shape good for dry lanes. It is too aggressive, but handles a little more oil because it picks up sooner.

The pin axis may work well for it, but you may also have to polish the ball to a mirror finish in order to keep it mild.
