Hey everyone,
Been a long time but I need to buy a new ball. Getting a $50 pro shop gift certificate from the league I am bowling with my daughter and need to use it. My current equipment is in my profile. I may retire my Cherry Pearl and the Solid Cobalt Bomb. Maybe even the Buzzbomb depending on what I get.
I am looking at the following balls:
900 Global: Bank Roll, and The Nuts
Lane #1: Boom'R-ang, Black Fire, Buzzbomb Carnage, or Time Bomb if the proshop can still get one.
I need something that is for mediums and is more angular than my Buzzbomb'R or something for when the lanes are on the oily side. I have tried my Buzzbomb at 500 grit but it is still not enough if they are oily. I actually like it better when it is at about 1000grit+light Polish. It kind of fits the angular medium spot.
What do you guys suggest? I'll post this over in the 900 Global section also.

The Cherry Pearl/C2 is not angular for you? I had one drilled pin up cg out and at 1000 polished mine was very strong off the friction.
That being said, my guess is the Boom'R'Ang would be your best bet. The ball was designed to be angular. If I remember right, the Bowling This Month review said throw it out there and it will come back from anywhere.

Sounds to me like the Carnage would be the ticket if you need something more then the BuzzBomb, and keep the BuzzBomb for mediums

Well, after last night, the Cherry Pearl still has some gas left in it. It was hitting the end of the pattern and kicking left like it used to. Still not sure if I should retire it and get something new.
I will be bowling on a House shot that is the 2009 USBC pattern that has been buffed out on the end a bit.Pretty heavy in the middle but dry on the outside. Rolling the ball thru the middle will just make it skate until the endof the pattern. The Buzzbomb'R has a nice arc off of the spot where the Cherry Pearl turns left. Haven't tried the Buzzbomb on it yet because I need to resurface it.
I guess I could go all Buzzbomb cores for my arsenal. :-)
