Tried to get the wife a Tsunami, but...
« on: August 10, 2006, 07:56:20 AM »
I ordered a Tsunami through Buddies yesterday for the wife.  She throws 12 lbs, and really can't handle more at this time.  The Tsunami was the ONLY ball Lane#1 made in a 12 lb weight.  Buddies called back today and said that Lane#1 has stopped making ANY 12 lb balls, and they can't get one.  Funny, Lane#1's website still says it's available.  We heard what Richie had to say at the Gathering about their lighter weight balls, and the wife was really interested in getting one. Buddies said they could get a 13, but she's not ready to move up in weight, so I cancelled the order.  Has Lane#1 stopped making this ball in 12? Needless to say we're not happy campers with Buddies or Lane#1 at this point.  What's the story?  Help me out Mr. Buzzsaw.

I believe the statement that they have stopped making 12's is a correct one, tho I have not heard that directly from lane 1 i have heard in the past that they stopped making them

We'll see, I guess.  I've now ordered through bowlingball.com, perhaps they have some old stock.  Buddies site has been edited to remove 12lbs from the selection.  If we can't get it, oh, well.  Maybe we'll find something in a  Track for her, since they've been so good to me.

And, hey!  How many people know that Bubba is from Warsaw?
