Can anyone advice if I am to sand down my BB to 500 grit or bring up the AO to 1000 grit. which will be the stronger ball ?

depends on your definition of stronger, if we are talking oil the sanded bb is stronger if we are talking all backend then the AI at 1000 is stronger on the backend
that being said, you will see more overall movement from the bb as it will start up earlier
AO at 4k is way strong on a house shot

Agree with trigger here...
My AO is my money ball right now on the house shot...sanded to 1000 then polished with the Sauce. After that I hit it every week with a 2000 grit pad before we bowl. The ball is absolute money.
I use my 2000 grit BuzzBomb from time to time when I want a smoother reaction down lane. The ball starts up quick in the middle but will not go crazy when it hits the backend.
