Yes. Ultimate Inferno hooks more. I compared the super carbide bomb, ultimate inferno, and BCB. Super carbide bomb hooked 9 boards more than BCB, ultimate hooked 4 more than BCB.
Hope this helps!

I have the Ultimate Inferno but have not drileld my BCB up yet. After watching the reaction of my Ultimate Inferno vs the reaction of the BCB that my buddy throws (Both drilled with pin under the ring finger) I would tend to say it compares more to the Uranium.

BCB covers a whole lot more boards than an Ultimate. It is almost a ball for opening up the lane, in its polished state, especially. The Ultimate, while it hooks plenty, is almost a control ball, BUT ONLY in comparison to the BCB. The Ultimate also hits harder. Unless you have some emotional need to cover all 40 boards (Lonce, you cover enough boards as it is already!), I'd have to suggest the Ultimate over the BCB, and from a cost perspective also. The BCB must flare 8-10" worth, with a 4" pin!

I believe BCB uses PK 18; Ultimate uses Activator PK 18.

Charlest, Already having the Ultimate Inferno, the Black Cherry Bomb caught my eye so I broke down and grab one off my shelf. My PAP is 4" over and 1/4 up. I drilled this with 4 1/2 from the PAP and the MB is 4 1/2 from the PAP. All I can say that this thing is SUPER STRONG this atleast started up 4 feet early than my Ultimate Inferno. I had to put it down after the first game. I think I should have drilled it much weaker maybe like a 5 1/2 layout. I can wait to try it down Carolier Lanes this weekend with a little polish. I might drill up another Lane#1 product this week.

I haven't been following. What's at Carolier this weekend?
Can't go Saturday - have to work. Can watch you win on Sunday though.

Charlest,it's a toss up between a cherry bomb and a morich ravage for medium shot and playing way in (5 and 6 arrow). I cutting down my arsenal from 12 balls to 7, it's becoming to confusing.

I currently have both, and have them drilled similarly.  After even putting a light buff on the UI, it still moves about 4 boards more than the BCB.  I wouldn't consider the BCB a heavy oil ball, more like a medium/medium-heavy.  The UI is definitely for the soup.  The strongest reactive ball I have seen.
