Title: Beans and Secret Sauce
Post by: D McLaughlin on March 01, 2007, 11:11:42 AM
I haven't seen anywhere that lists this as USBC approved or is there even such a thing for polishes etc?  Not a knock, just a simple question.

D.....Funny you should ask. If you read on Bowl.com there isn't really an approved list at all. They are tested lists. Cleaners are approved for use during sanctioned events. They are not approved for anything other than that or they would have to test the cleaners to see if they actually clean...This is direct info from the USBC......Also,  since abrasives can't be used during play. They do not approve them.  BUT, I was also contacted by the USBC to have my product tested and "approved" by them.

I need to send them a sample, a MSDS Sheet and ...................OF COURSE!!!!

$50.00 to get approved...... It's always about money with them. What does the $50 do? I am currently in the process of getting my MSDS form ready to send with the sample and my FIFTY BUCKS!! to get approved so I can be put on their list.

So....Even though I don't need to be "APPROVED" to sell or have my "SAUCE" used...It is good for marketing.  Thanks for the legit question Darren.  I hope this answered you correctly.  Beans

Thanks for taking the time to respond.  I, truly, had no clue if USBC had any sort of approval process for ANY of the compounds, polishes, etc.  It is greatly appreciated by myself and I am sure others to know this info.  Thanks much for the 411 and good luck with the Sauce bro.
