Black Buzzsaw/C2.......any good?
« on: November 17, 2003, 10:28:29 PM »
My pro shop has a barely used one I can get for basically drilling cost.
I've been reading all the praise/hype and when I saw this one collecting dust I thought this might be a cheap way to try one out.

I know this is an older ball so Im not familiar with the cover. Do you think this ball would match up for me? Was it any good? If yes can you suggest a drilling?

I throw about 17 mph with a 380 + rev rate and generally like to play a more hooking line most of the time. I tend to get a pretty good flare on the ball with a track that runs about 1/8 from the thumb.

Thanks

This is the Black Raspberry, or the Blue Berry that was recently discontinued.

It is a very versatile ball that you can use on many conditions depending on the cover prep.  If you want it to handle more oil sand the cover down, if you want it to handle less oil shine the cover up.  The coverstock is PK18, which is regarded as the most versatile, and/or best resin coverstock on the market.

I am currently having mine drilled 4x3 from my axis coordinate because I'd like it to combat moderate carrydown, but I've also read a 3x4 pattern does real well too.

Whether or not it's truly a good ball is up to you and how you use it.

Thanks APK. To those that sent me a message on this ball I made a mistake and it is really a Black Buzzsaw/C not the C2 core. I sent you back complete info on the ball if you are still interested

Thanks again, Rick
