Black Cherry / Cranberry
« on: October 23, 2003, 07:29:44 AM »
I just got the Black Cherry drilled "stacked" according to Lane #1. I've bowled 6 games with it. I got a Cranberry a while ago, drilled "cg leverage" and dulled to 600 grit. I bowl mainly on med. heavy to heavy, I prefer to throw 18 mph with above average revs. On these conditions I slow my speed to 16 and find that the Cranberry is more predictable with a STRONG finish to the pocket. The BCB is more arced and does not finish as well. Should I take the surface down on the BCB, or how about a different drill? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I think the drill on the B Cherry is good. You can try taking down the surface or maybe try the Super Bomb, because it's made for the heavier stuff. =:^D

T-G,
With those drills if I take the BCB down to 600 what do you think I'll see different between the 2? Will the Cranberry still be stronger? If so, I will be looking for a SCB. I love the reaction out of the Cranberry but am somewhat dissapointed with the BCB, I really thought that it would be stronger than it is. For me it's not very much stronger than my Cherry Bomb. And thanks for answering, you advised me on drill and surface on the Cranberry and you were right on the money!
