Any feedback as to what drillings work well on a Blueberry? I have heard a rumor that drilling this ball max leverage isn't a good thing. I usually drill my equipment label leverage, but I would like to try something a tad more aggressive. Any suggestions?
Also, which ball is overall stroger? The Black Cherry BOMB or Blueberry if both are drilled the same and have the exact same finish?
Thanks

The Black Cherry Bomb is much stronger, especially off the dry. The Blueberry is nice and smooth. I would try a CG out drilling, maybe a 4 1/2 x 3, pin out 4+ inches. CG outs work well. Because you like label leverage and are a high tracker, a pin out over 4" will give you the snap/hook that you like. =:^D

Sir Bowls Alot,
It might be worth you're time to get in touch with Doug Sterner on this site about advice on the Blueberry.
I picked up a used 15# from another bal reviews member, sent it to Doug.. he set it up and 2 weeks later in the GDBA Tourney 4/12/03, I scored a perfecto.
I think Doug will have the best input for you on it and since he deals with
Lane I stuff, he will probably be able to tell you which is stronger... The Blueberry or The Black Cherry.
Good Luck

Doug Sterner drilled my Blueberry 4 x 3 and it is perfect for someone like my self that has medium speed, low to medium revs and not much hand. The PIN is 3 1/4".

T-GOD, what drilling should I try on a Black Cherry BOMB if I want something a little stronger than a label leverage drilling? I would want it to still retain a strong backend. Would the CG out drilling of 4 1/2 x 3 pin out 4+ inches be the perfect choice?

I have both balls and the BCB is stronger.
I also have both the BB, and BCB in stock, let me know when you are ready to purchase.

Sir, I would go with a stacked drilling, 2" pin, something around a 4 - 4 1/2" stack, i.e. 4 x 4 or 4 1/2 x 4 1/2. Use this drilling on the Black Cherry if you're not getting the Blueberry. If you're getting both balls, then I would drill them both the same, using the 4 1/2 x 3 layout. =:^D
