Help! Need advice on playing on reverse block condition
« on: October 06, 2003, 02:57:03 AM »
Hey All!  I had a real tough time bowling on a reverse block condition last
night.  The inside line (10 to 10) was bone dry while the outside line ( 10 to
the channel) was soaked.   I played inside with my sling blade trying not
to swing it pass 10 and bam....goes brook.  Tried to go outside with it and
left washes.  I bring a Columbia wild but that thing went everywhere.  Should
I just go from the corner with my Columbia white dot and shoot for the head pin
and try to keep the ball in play?  The whole league struggled only 198 being
high game for the night.  Thanks for the help guys!

Typically two ways to attack this sort of shot.  Either get in deep(4th, 5th arrow or even deeper) with something that doesn't hook a whole lot, but has enoough backend to carry corner pins.  I would think Storm's HRG would be ideal for this.  Other approach is to play up the outside (up 3 to up 7)  with a very aggressive ball.  This would be a great time for the super carbide bomb!  Either way, its a tough shot.  Just try to keep it around the pocket and cover the spares!  Good luck!

i would play the 4ty or 5th arrow, keeping the line tight to the pocket.you do not want to catch oil on the outside.you should use a low flaring ball so it goes through the oil and doesn't jump too much when hitting the dry.
a lane one buzzsaw, viper, silver etc would be great.
