how to restore the OOB cover of GN ?

seems like my pro-shop altered my GN surface stupidly, I can see the move of this ball is gone, I have a spinner, can anyone tell me how can I restore the OOB surface ? what kind of polish should I use on this ball ?

Not sure if this one, the GN, is any different, but standard operational procedure seems to be to sand it to 400 grit, then use Brunswick's High Gloss polish on it.

I would bring the ball back to 600 grit to get all the sanding lines out first, then polish it. =:^D

I have tried to restore the surface by sanding it to 600 then applied the rubbling compound (medium cut) but I found the ball is too slippery, the tracky feel and the gripping power are lost, that is why I thought the pro shop smooth out the particle when they plugged the ball last time. that is why I need you guys for help to restore this GN back to OOB.

Try what I said. I did not make that up; it is a not a story.

Rubbing compound will CHANGE the surface from the stock 400 grit to about 1000 grit. The Brunswick High Gloss polish will not change the base grit of the finish!

Charlest,

I will try this tonight ! I also noticed that the rubbing compound will alter the surface to 1000 no matter how the starting grit is, can I use perfect it or finesse it instead of Brunswick high gloss ?

L1L, I may be wrong here, but I don't think you are supposed to use sanpaper on particle coverstocks. I think 3m pads, or trizact is ok.

Yes, what I was thinking is the proshop used the sandpaper to sand the ball after the plug-work, so i decide to restore it original surface and the 3m pad is not enough to bring back the particle, so I just want to ask the way to restore it back.

I have personally used Trizact brand sandpaper on Brunswick Particle balls but in recent years, Brunswick has stated over and over again that it's ok to use sandpaper. Who am I to argue with the manufacturer?

I have resurface it with 100 grit wet sandpaper, then 3M green pad to smooth out the cut to 600, finally apply 3M finesse it, all with 6-sides procedure.  try some shoots and the action not bad, 90% OOB restored ! thank you everyone for yours great suggestion.
