Bomb Cores
« on: December 29, 2005, 12:51:40 PM »
i have a buddy that just ordered up a 15# HDB with 3-4" Pin 2.9 Top

what is a better drilling for bomb cores, for the most favorable reation.
hes looking for something that will hard arc to the pocket somewhat late.
its his first Lane #1 and dont want to disappoint.

Pin Under, Pin Side, Pin Over
Label, Stacked, CG Out

any of those combinations, assume average bowler PAP, 5" over ¼" up.

Thanks

I have a carbide bomb with a 1:30 on it that makes it prety snappy.

Interesting.... Hmmmm!  This friend received his Tsunami H20 yesterday and had it drilled today.  I couldn't begin to tell you the specs, but it's 15# and 1-2".  Vinnie had to drill the balance hole on the side.  I tried it a Bowlers Club and it takes off at the back end.  He did say that he was going to drill it for max hook in the backend with increased forward roll.  ......... I hope that is good........ LOL  None-the-less, the ball handled well and I think will be predictable in oil.

I loved how the ball would seem like it would almost stop on the backend and the just flip hard and really rip em.shot my second 300 with that ball but I have'nt used it for a few years now.gret ball for med/heavy ths.I mostly see flat patterns and broken down crap now.
