I don't think he has more than 400.  I just think that everyone over estimates their rev rates to make themselves feel good.

he is playing a line at nutmeg bowl that cant be played with any other ball because the units of oil in the middle are ridiculous. second, he has way more than 400. third, all the people that replied to this topic above me have no idea what they are talking about

i would say hes averaging about 450 revs there, i ve seen the lots of 300 rev players and hes way above that number

Jim,

I too noticed the obvious line that went mostly through where the heavier volumes of oil were, yet the ball did not slide too long, and once at the back end it made the pocket.  That deep a line, with that volume of oil would usually result it missing the head, regardless of revs.

I was more impressed with Buddies Video of the Liberator than I was the Buzzbomb. Seems to me anyhow, that the Liberator created better pin mix and more solid hits than the Buzzbomb. I mean it really blew the pins away on some hits whereas the Buzzbomb didn't blow them away like the Liberator....in my eyes anyhow. Of coarse the balls were thrown on different lines and probably different conditions, so it is hard to judge and draw a conclusion on what I saw.

Hey Dave, with my 15 MPH or so slower speed and  very low revs, I can miss the head pin on a lot shallower line than that....lol

That BuzzBomb was hitting like a marshmellow even with Timmy throwing it. The ball had zero energy on the backend which led the ball to hit like crap. No way you can leave that ball with the out of box finish unless your bowling on PBA shots with alot of head oil. I have a buddy of mine (Uncle Crusty) with a huge rev rate and there is no way the kid can throw a ball with even 4000 abralon on the ball nevermind anything lower. The ball just can't clear the heads and when it does there is nothing in the ball when it gets to the pins and hits like a powder puff and will leave corners all night. Thats what looked like Timmy was going threw on the vid. I think that BuzzBomb would be a better ball with compound on it. Just my .02

Well, it ought to work for me then because with my speed, I can clear the heads easily, and have that energy for the back end.  Also, I have read more than enough reviews that say otherwise on the back end energy of this ball.  Maybe the layout needs tweeking or the cover to match the bowler regardless of pro or not.

I agree that the ball didn't look like it hit very hard on a lot of shots, as compared to other balls. But, go compare where he is playing with the BuzzBOMB as compared to the Cell, Widow Bite, and the LevRG. http://www.videoballreviews.com/index.html

With the BuzzBOMB they are at least 5 boards further left with their feet and crossing the arrows 4 to 8 boards deeper inside. The Widow Bite is the only ball that came close to the BuzzBOMB as far as playing that deep inside.

That's my take on this. =:^D

I guess I take a different look at it.  Why would you want to be further inside than you need to be unless you need to play the lanes that way?  More backend does not equate to higher scoring potential IMO.  It takes most bowlers out of their comfort zone and on a THS I see no need for the huge hooking monsters.  But that's just me.
