G-Force Question??
« on: February 09, 2007, 04:02:13 PM »
I had a few questions about the new g-force, specifically what conditions it is supposed to be for.  I have owned many buzzsaws in the past (my favorite is the Carbide LRG), and was looking for one that could handle a flood in the middle, or at least handle weaker backends with decent carry.  If anyone on this forum can help with this, I would appreciate it.  I have not bought a new Lane #1 ball in over three years, and was hoping the new G-Force could replace my Carbide LRG for heavy conditions.  Thanks in advance for the help!!!

from what i have seen i do believe this is a great replacement for the lrg, have seen some great recovery on hevier oil,  Freinds daughter has one and lead sectional qualifying with it when no one else could find a shot on the heavier shot, she scored at will, and weak backends dont seem to bother the ball, it turned up anyway

on edit, i have 3 left from my intial pre order 2 15# and room for a choice as that order it being shipped monday.  pm me if interested in a aprice

I actually just drilled my new g force exactly the same as my fav lrg....i would say the g force is just stronger in heavier oil. i could throw the g force out to the gutter, and the ball would recover to the pocket. i had to tweak the lrg coverstock for my house, and i may have to experiment a little with the g force.
sometimes the box finish has a wax like surface to it, and i usually use a 1000 grit pad for a couple of seconds to take this off. i did this with the tsunami and there was a huge difference.
my ball is drilled stacked 3 1/2 x 3 1/2.
the more i got behind the ball and kept the ball speed up, it hit like a train. if i backed off, or came around the ball too much, it would roll out...my release problem, not the ball!
the shot i was playing on was a house shot with carry down...will try the ball on a fresh shot monday...so far it looks like a winner, especially here on the west cost where ethey dump down alot of oil.
