I went with a Label 1:30 drill and a little bit of polish. It is very smooth and makes a nice strong arc on the backend. My ball was a little too early out of the box so I hit it lightly with polish (3M Finesse It). That was just what the doctor ordered. No problems with carry. In fact, this ball seems to carry the light mixers better than some of my older Lane #1 balls.

I love my xp its drilled pin above ring and the cg kicked a little right and the mb about 2ins. from the the thumb.  The ball easily gets threw the heads and sets up early with a hard backend snap.  The ball is more aggressive then my G-force solid and I would say about the same or more aggressive then the hew black widow bite.  The carry is awesome throws pins everywhere light hits caryy great.  But for me the high hits always leave a 4 pin.  But right now this iis one of my favorite lane 1 ball and i own a few of them.

I have mine drilled pin under ring, mass bias strong. I get the same reaction all these other guys are saying....strong, early rolling and smooth controllable arc to the pocket.

depending on drilling.  it does have some midlane but can be drilled to go longer and have a much harder arc on the back

I love my xp, great med condition ball, i throw it in 4 houses ranging from 37 feet to 42 feet of oil.  I can always find a line to the hole.

update....mine is an early pearl for sure....at 1000 with no polish its is a winner...i tried to make it skid snappy with 2000 and beans and it didnt move on the back...so i will keep it at 1000 with no polish, it is a monster in my house with this surface..
