Hi All,
Just joined the Lane1 family
I just picked up a BuzzBomb and I think OOB will be too much ball for the house I bowl at. Brunswick synthetics. Not sure of exact specs. of lane type and etc..
Question I have is...
A. Should I apply polish to OOB and see how I like it?
or
B. Take the finish up to 2000 first?
What do you sawheads recommend I do?

do the polish first, the 1000 grit underlying surface is pretty decent and with some polish will be longer and still agressive in the mids
I finally settled on 1500 wetsand with a light coat of the sauce as being optimum on this ball

If I were you, I would take it up to 2000 to start out, a little less strong compared to 1000. See how it does, mine at 2000 was still real strong but carried really well at many house's I used it on, very versatile.
I then polished it later in the season, just to see how it would do. It has since stayed at the surface, it is still strong in oil, but I am able to use it longer with fewer adjustments.
I have another NIB that I was going to drill and leave OOB, but they are 16lbs and I have since switched to 15lbs.

Thanks all.
I shined up the BB with some powerhouse factory finish. The ball looks pretty shiny, but not a Sauce mirror-like finish.
Length was improved dramatically, but even with 1000+polish I couldn't get the ball to snap in the back end. My assumption is either 1000+polish is reading mid-lane a tad too much and burning out before reaching the back, or the back boards have a lot of carry down.
I'll have my driller have a look at my ball reaction...but one thing for SURE is, BUZZBOMB has crazyy pin carry. I see myself purchasing more Lane 1 in the future.

be advised, as it is a solid it will never truely "snap" on the backends, you might acheive a hard arc but a snap tends to be more for the pearl balls, solid balls just dont jerk off the spot like a pearl does

trig is right, I have never seen a hard snap with my BB, even polished it is still a hard arc that is smooth, but more aggressive than OOB, but once you get on some real oil you will see that hard arc be more pronounced

Alright, update.
I applied Ebonite Factory Finish polish to my BB. Length is good, but I sense the ball is skidding a bit too much in oil.
I want to remove the polish from OOB finish. What can/should I do? Next grit I'll try is 2000, but I need to remove the polish first. I don't have a spinner or abralon pads. I'm thinking about Scotch Brit pads, but not sure which color SB pads to use. Right now the BB is sitting at OOB 1000+polish.
Any tips/advice?
