Hi Jeff!
I'm not using Lane 1 equipment yet, but I plan to in the very near future...I hope. May I kindly ask (and I do mean
kindly), what is your point? I mean, I personally know there aren't any "magical" balls out there and that just because you throw a Saw doesn't mean that you'll throw any 300's, 800's or whatever. (Although the numbers do verify this...go fig.
)
Dude may have been off on his game, not had the right equipment for that day, or he could have been just trying some stuff out, heck I don't know, I wasn't there! But, have you ever thought that people pay the money for the Saws because they want too? I've heard people say that the equipment has really helped their game and others could care less. Some guy on the forums said that he just hated the bomb core, but yet and still, he loved the C/2 core.
I've been out of bowling for a minute, but I've bowled with Brunswick, Track, AMF, and Ebonite and I loved their equipment while I was using it. Now, to be truthfully honest with you, I'm kinda' tired of the big companies. This time around, I was going to go with either Lane 1 or MoRich...period! Both are small companies, they
need to make quality equipment in order to compete and/or stay in business. Remember Storm? Same thing except their marketing and business strategy is different. Storm is a
BEAST at what they do now (better than Columbia, Brunswick, and Ebonite IMHO).
This is just my two cents and all because everytime I listened to someone talk about Lane 1, their prices, their balls are no different than anybody elses, yadda yadda yadda, etc. etc. etc, I end up not throwing what I want to throw! If I believe that it'll work for me, then I'd better be ready to spend some cash...simple as that.
So this is what I feel and I'd say this to anybody about what they want to do bowling or otherwise...be true to yourself...always!
