Buzzsaw/c cores (Opinion & Poll)
« on: August 13, 2005, 04:31:33 AM »
Now that I have had the oportunity to bowl with the buzzsaw/c solid carbide & the cherry C2, I know why the more seasoned buzzsaw diehards fell in love with the lane1 product.(Not that there is anything wrong with the new ones)

The poll I would like to conduct & the question I would like to ask is this 2 part yes or no:

1.  Do you think a ball with the most up to date coverstock(Activator plus-OR?) & with the diamond core & 2 separated mini nuggets of the more dense material now used would be a great addition to the buzzsaw line?

2.  Would you buy one?

We have, I think, about 60 FOS members plus other buzzsaw loyalists, & if we could get enough positive feedback, maybe Mr. Buzzsaw would consider a retro design ball with possibly the C2 core made with new tech material with a new tech coverstock. I would really urge a large response from the group, either yea or nay. Thanks!

Problem i see is you really have to match the core with the cover.  If you put a really strong core into a really strong cover the ball would hook off you hand and not be very usefull,

So my answer is no and no

Trigger, According to lane 1's site the cherry C2 is dual separated nuggets just like the pearl & solid carbide.
Also my vote:

yes & yes

I've been asking them to make a ball like this for quite a while now.

The bomb core simply doesn't work with my game.

this has already happened with the original c core in the form of uranium pearl and solid, these are the original cores with activator on them, now if they were to make a c2 with activator or hybird, i will tell you i will be the first to buy it.

Say it louder, PLEASE!

I'd choose the Activator+ as in the intense or the Absolute and the C2 core, with separated or not separated nuggets.

Don't care if the nuggets are separated or not.
Just return to the simple, direct, straight-forward diamonds and nuggets. Not this chopped off, super high differential BS. That ain't Lane#1; it's an attempt to get the hook at any cost bowler, not the one interested in scoring well with a good ball.

Feh!

Triggerman,

I long for "the good old days". I do care what they (Lane!) mess with). Last ball I tried was the Golden Nugget ( a few days ago); it needs medium oil!

C2 core + any Brunswick coverstock = good Sh*t!

Hey,Lane!, Get your a** in gear and give us what is real and what is needed, NOT wanted. "Hook in a box" - garbage!

I would buy, in a heartbeat, another cherry, or ball exactly like it.  As for new coverstock balls, well I think that any coverstock with this core will be great, activator, or I would love to see this core (cherry) with the super carbide bomb coverstock.

Yes, Yes.

I would love to see solid Activator around a C2 core.  I actually would like to see solid Activator around any of Lane #1's cores, because it matches my game the best.  The Solid Uranium has been my best ball for a long time.

personally I would like to see the Hybrid wrapped around a c2 core, or even just the c core.

PK18 was a proven winner wrapped around the c cores, and since the Hybrid contains it as well as Activator, I think it would be a great match.

Yes, my sentiments too Charlest. OK, maybe hook in a box=garbage is bit extreme. lol. IMO, its just done too much. Though, maybe the problem is that people think they need hook in a box and a different ball for each condition. Anyway...on to the post.

1:Yes, I think it would be a nice addition
2:Not sure if I would buy it. It would depend upon the coverstock that would be used. I wouldnt be looking for anything too aggresive. Course, if it was PK-18....! lol.

Sorry, Curly, but sometimes I just let the BS fill my "inbox" until I can't stand it anymore and then I explode.

I meant I read so much nonsense here (on all forums) that sometimes I want to scream, and other times, like above, I got let it all out.
