I keep all my bowling equipment in the house in San Diego. So tempature is not a factor. My dynamo cracked and I contacted Chuck and he said ship it to Lane 1 and he'd replace it. Great customer service but I didn't want to spend the money shipping the ball to the Easr coast and then paying to have it drilled, but thats only because I had a second Dynamo.
Then last week my Buzzbomb cracked. I emailed Chuck and he asked me to send him a picture or two of the ball to include the crack and the serial number. He said he would get a new ball in the mail right away.
I don't kow why the two bowling balls cracked, we don't have big tempature swings here for the most part in San Diego, but bowling balls crack. It's what the company does to help the bowler after the ball cracks that is important. Lane 1 is a tremendous customer service company and extremely easy to approach.

So did you have to send the Buzzbomb back first before you get your replacement?

What is the point of this? Lane #1 is not the only company to replace a cracked ball. Kool Aid drinkers

I don't think his point is about ball replacement, but instead of the ease and customer service Lane#1 has.
I can stand by this, because Chuck was great at helping me out as well.

what is the point of your post ?
we just talk about here, because excellent customer service needs to be recognized. It is one reason I stay a sawhead, because I know I can spend the money in confidence, that if something does go wrong I am not left holding on to a 150 dollar lawn ornament like many other companies would have you do.
I'm not an idiot, all ball companies make products that will crack, but it's what said company does afterword that matters.
So because we comment on excellent customer service we are all branded kool aide drinkers.................ok
you sir are spawned from troll sperm

I knew you would answer sooner than later bowlerdawg. I am just stating that Lane #1 is not the only ones to replaced a cracked ball.
As for you stopncrank, was that a shot at humor?

Take is as you want...most other companies, like the one that had so many problems a couple years ago, make you go through an act of congress to get anything done if at all. this was by far and away the easiest fix to a problem i've had in the bowling industry. We get it, you dont like Lane#1, thats fine but why hi-jack every Lane#1 thread? I dont care for Brunswick but i'm not over there spouting off about it....get a life dude.

I posted the topic for two reasons.
1) I wonder if the thin shell is adding to the ball cracking?
2) Its good to give praise to those who are worthy. Lane 1 has great customer service from Joe the average bowler to the pro shops.
I have had luck having cracked bowling balls from other companies replaced from pro shops, but not replaced directly from the company.
