I know this question has been asked before, but forgot the answer. So, if I wanted to use Lane 1 equipment in a PBA regional tournement, is it allowed? I understand that they did not pay there "fee" to the PBA for the year, but I am not sure just what that means exactly, so if someone knows,I would love to know the answer.
Thanks in advance for any answers

900Global pours their stuff but Lane1 is a seperate company and therefore has to pay a seperate registration fee

Simple as that, don't pay the registration fee and they won't be allowed to be used on tour or in any pba regional event. Lane1's own fault, who know's how many time's the company could have had television exposure to help boost sale's of a overpriced company.

So they didn't pay a registration fee but iv'e seen signs hung up publisising lane 1 at pba events. this doesn't effect using lane 1 @ Nats or any othe USBC tournaments right?

900 Global is one of the biggest companies out right now. Lane 0 is just a hole in the wall.

why dont you get that
900 Global might be a new name for the company but the guys running the show there have been around for a very long time, and AMF is the same company as well, they pay their registration fee and can be used on tour,
900 Global also did a very smart thing is signing Walter Ray (Im not a huge fan of his) but the guy is consistently always in the game and has a chance to make TV just as good as anyone else out there right now
Lane #1 is older than some of the new companys out there but for whatever reasons they have they choose not to pay the registration fee so they cant be used in PBA events
on a side note I see Morich is still listed I thought they were not going to be on the list for 2010 ?

Is all about money. Lane 1 might be a goner soon

How can you judge the success of a company by whether they are PBA registered or not??
Lane#1 is still very much successful and profitable. Their core customer base of league bowlers still supports this company.
Why should they just give the PBA $40,000+ a year just so that they can be thrown in a PBA event?
There is roughly 50 exempt players on tour and I would guess 75% or more are already contracted by one of the other major companies. That leaves how many available bowlers left to use the Lane#1 product???
I personally just don't see Lane#1 getting a reasonable return on their investment...
If the PBA was smart, they would just impose a small fine to each player that wanted to use a non-registered product each tournament...
Say $5 per ball per tournament.. It would be easier for the PBA player to submit their score sheets and fine sheets to the companies for reimbursment and more economical for the smaller ball companies. Then the PBA would still gain monies from the fines.
They could be labeled PBA registration fines so that the cash can go directly to the PBA as opposed to the regular fine process which I beleive goes back to the players in some sort of way. I may be wrong here.
Just my thoughts and ideas..
