Okay guys I need some help. I just got rid of my Silver diamond It was 15# and too light. I was trying to pick up something that would somewhat replace it and I found out the other day that I can get a Nugget for 95 bucks. I have speed around 15 to 16 mph and I have been told I have a lot of revs but a lot of guys have more than me. I usually play my uranium 25 to 10 and screaming back to the pocket. The lane 1 ball rep said that the Nugget is similar to my diamond and I loved how clean it was through the heads and still managed to hook on the back end. I was thinking that I could simulate very closely if I drilled the nugget pretty weak. I was just wondering if amyone had any experience with both balls and could help me out. THANKS!

I can elaborate in the morning as I am tired now but basically your not going to get very close reaction wise to your silver with a nugget.

Now that I am back and my Saws are sharp again, I am ready to cut some wood.

My 2 cents:
SD flips hard on medium-light.
GN flips unmercifully hard on medium-light and medium oil.

SD is pearl resin
GN is particle pearl.

What I have seen of the GN has prompted to stop my quest for an SD and stockpile at least one GN for when I find an oil pattern conducive to its POWER.

The GN seems to hit CONSIDERABLY harder than my SD ever did and it hit nicely hard. In fact, the GN hits state-of-the-art hard.

For me the two balls were not very similiar but there is one problem there I can't remember how my silver was drilled I just remember its movement, now keep in mind it wasn't anything exotic. My nugget was drilled label 1:30. Here's what you got elaborating a little more on what charlest had provided. Silver= Pearlized Pk18 reactive resin, Nugget Pearlized Pk17 with a light particle load. As we know Pk17 goes longer but generally banks harder off the dry than Pk18 or at least in most cases. So Basically my nugget was a good deal stronger than my silver and at the same time able to handle a fair amount more oil than the silver due to the particle load. My silver was long and strong but not super flippy and neither was the nugget but it was noticebly stronger on the backend to me. Where I could have never used the silver on carry down I could use my nugget. To me nothing they offer currently does exactly what the silver diamond use to. You may get close in reaction with a nugget perhaps with some surface prep and a weaker drill than your silver diamond. However with the raised diamond instead of being centered it is generally going to hook more in the backend than your silver like I say unless you tone it down some. Whether you feel you can match that particular reaction or not the nugget is still worth picking up especially since they are cheap and they will be gone soon.
