I also had a blast today down chackos. Props for the best driller in NEPA "Beans". Cant wait for the next one up idle hour. I got to throw every ball atleast once and i had some balls that impressed me and others that didnt.
First off i will start with the ones that did.
I was impressed with the THS Buzzsaw. This ball was strong for me but very smooth move on the back end that was very controllable. I threw this ball twice with different layouts. I forget what each one was but they both had a smooth reaction down lane. One of them being a little stronger than the other.
I also was some what impressed with the Chainsaw. This ball got such easy length for me and with my ball speed and revs that i put on the ball it got down so easy and made a significant move to the pocket and hit like a truck.
I threw the Liberator and knew going into throwing it was urathane and it wasnt going to be huge on tha backend even though it has a great core. This ball impressed me because it made me move more right than i usually throw and seemed like it would really fit im my aresnal because again it made me play a line that even though today i was some what on the tired side from bowling a tourney on saturday i still was able to see what this ball could do. This ball did not like carry down that was on lanes 9-10. Over all this is a ball i could see my self getting in the future when i get some money.
Now on to the final 3 balls that i was not impressed with .
For those of you that were there Beans had all 3 Buzzbomb balls. I did throw each of them enough to get a feel for what they could do so i will so a short summary of each.
I threw the Buzzbomb/R first and though coming in it was going to have some backend. Since it was a pearl i knew it would get length and hope to have a semi decent backend move. This ball went Straight as an arrow for the first 8-10 shots i threw with this ball. I made a move right and slowed the speed down a little and it still went straight but had a tiny more back end.
I also threw the Agent Orange(both the dulled and polished one). I figured that this ball would hook a ton. Again not overly impressed with the backend. It was more of a early smooth back end with not much of a (pearlized ball) snap. The polished one went about as long as the Buzzbomb/R did but had more on the back than it.
Finally i threw the Original Buzzbomb. From all the videos that i have seen and reviews of this ball i couldnt believe how this ball didnt really do what i have seen and heard other say this ball does. Granted when i threw this i had already been bowling for the previous 2 hours or so and i was tiring some what. But it seemed to roll out on me when i threw it and kind of almost crap out on the back end.
I wish i would have brought some money with me today cause i may have bought a ball or 2. If i did buy a ball i think i would have most likely bought a THS Buzzsaw, 2nd would have been a Chainsaw and 3rd choice would be the Liberator.
Over all i had a great time. Cant wait till the next one. This time im gonna have a fresh open mind since the next Ball Review day is at a house i bowl at regularly so it may give me a better look at what the balls do.
