Chainsaw Massacre
« on: May 05, 2009, 09:31:07 AM »
Just got back from throwing the Chainsaw Massacre.  I bought this to replace my ancient Silver Diamond (an original). Drilled with the CG out leverage layout (pretty much like my old silver). Started with 2 1/2 ounces tw, and a 3 inch pin (I'd hoped for a 4 inch like the silver, but this worked) Ain't science wonderful?  If I could overlay the two balls you would see exactly the same look from them.  I was on what was the house shot of 2 years ago, which basically was a 4 board shot for the old Silver.  Played right there with the CM and it was a killer.  Threw 18 in a row and quit.  This one's a keeper.

Where did you place the Pin and where did you place the CG? I'm seriously thinking about one as soon as I get settled down from our move from our house in the country to a new house in town.

I too have a silver diamond and a chainsaw massacre... very similar, never thought i'd say that about another ball compared to the silver diamond.... the backend and carry for both of these balls is very, very good....

Brick, pin is about 1/2" above bridge, centered.  CG is out at about 50 degrees (an inch and a half or so from grip midline - almost on the line from pin to pap.  Go to the Lane 1 site and find in the tech data the drill sheet.  It's the CG out leverage layout.)  I had to drill the fingers deeper than I normally do because of low top wt.  Otherwise the wt hole would have been very high.  I ended w/ 3/4 oz finger wt and almost no sidewt, needing a 3/4" hole about 1 1/4" deep on my pap.

Thanks Bob....If I get one (which I want to) and with my lower revs,I may have to go Pin under Bridge since the ball has a low RG that is a bit on the high side and  a differential of .037. I'd have to talk to Chuck or T-God for advice.
