Title: Chainsaw Massacre
Post by: JimOhio on March 23, 2009, 09:27:35 AM
Lane#1 has something brewing in Syracuse, coming soon to your local pro shops the all new Chainsaw Massacre, Blood red pearl with our Bomb MassaCore patented Diamond. This awesome looking pearl is covered by our popular pearl Bleeder coverstock. The ball looks allot like the Pearl Cherry Bomb but so much more angular.

they are adding a flip block, and a stronger pearl cover. Replacing the G -force line, most likely a step above the chainsaw and step below the buzzbomb/r

Question about balls with cores like this --

The Massacre appears to be the same thing as a Dirty Bomb with the core flipped upside-down. Only difference appears to be the lack of a density nugget inside.

So what's to stop me from buying a Dirty Bomb, flipping the ball upside-down, and using the virtual pin and CG from the other side of the ball as my markers?

I used to wonder this about Storm's Thunder line, too. The Thunder and Thunder Road are the same core, just flipped.

Looks and sounds like a Cherry Vibe compared to the Chainsaw.

Jess,

What you are describing would be the Cobalt core.

If you want to end up with 3oz. of bottom weight(if you can find a ball with zero top to start with), vs 1 oz of top, and believe the ball will react the same either way, then I say go for it. =:^D

I thought about that. It would certainly be a good way to test the true effect of statics. (g)

The Massacre looks like a cross between the Cherry Bomb and the Pearl Cobalt Bomb. It sure looks purty and I'll bet it's a beast on the backend. =:^D

you're missing the boat T  the Agent orange is spectacular, the dynamo rolls more like the old stuff then anything i have see (Black Raspberry) and the chainsaw (original) is the premier dry lane ball, and the Massacre?  well time will tell, but I do know my rep at Lane 1 loves his, says it is the best pearl he has thrown

Hey trigg.....it's their newest pearl release. Do you really think your rep is going to tell you otherwise? LOL He wants to sell then remember bud? However, I am like Tracy, not a fan of the company or their stuff since they severed pouring with Big B. However, this kind of looks interesting.

Why the low RG diff? Also the overall RG stats indicate a med - low RG ball, which also doesn't suggest skid snap. Of course coverstock is the deciding factor, but what I'm seeing is a very good "hook set" type of ball like the Smokin' Inferno (which many people hated, but I loved).
