Looking for a new ball
« on: May 22, 2009, 03:04:52 AM »
Right now I'm using a scorchin Inferno (dont know the layout) Im a lefty bowler.  The lanes i bowl on are normally light oiled lanes where i avg a 180.

I would consider myself being a stroker, i throw the ball between 15 to 16 mph.  I was thinking about getting the Massacre, but was wondering is thats too much of a ball for a stroker on light oil.  If so are there any other balls you guys would suggest? If you do suggest the Massacre what kind of layout would you suggest?

Thanks in Advance.

Looking at your stats I would say an Original Chainsaw would be perfect. With a stacked or label drill on the ball....

On light oil I would suggest the Original Chainsaw.

Arsenal:
Roto-Grip Cell Pearl (4000 abralon)
Lane #1 Chainsaw (2000 + Secret Sauce)
Lane #1 XXXL Starburst

The Scorchin Inferno is a solid reactive that's advertised to be an earlier rolling heavy oil ball.
quote:
When compared to the Ultimate Inferno, the Scorchin’ Inferno has the unique Activator clean reaction through the heads with increased mid-lane recovery, break-point angularity, a higher hook potential and improved traction in heavy carrydown. The Scorchin’ Inferno is a heavy oil ball designed for bowlers who prefer Reactive over Particle coverstocks.
The Massacre won't be too much ball. You will probably like the Dynamo more, as it has a solid coverstock like the Scorchin. Solids tend to work better for lefty's, imo.

The Massacre will go longer and snap sharper, possibly causing it over react more on the fresher left side lane conditions. But, it won't be too much ball for you, as compared to the Scorchin. =:^D
