Title: Changing the surface of the ball

Need some advice here, I am trying to match up to my AO by doing surface changes and I have tried many different grits change.  
Now I am worried, will there be a chance that I removed too much of the surface and the ball become too small ? Is there minimum size for a bowling ball ? And normally how many times can we do surface changes ? Thanks !
