Am I getting a good deal?
« on: July 25, 2005, 11:37:33 PM »
Just asking for everyone's $0.02.

I am going to buy from my proshop (he is a touring PBA Senior Pro) guy 2 of his used balls.  They both have about 25 games on them and they both have switch-grip thumb insert.  I currently have a switch grip and love it!!!!!

He is offering me a Track Rule GP2 and a Total Annihilation for 200 bucks.  I think I am doing pretty well on this.

That is not a great deal for used balls. Like thfonz98 said, if that includes him plugging and redrilling for you then its an OK deal but nothing great. If he wants to charge you extra to plug and redrill, then tell him to keep'em.

If you don't mind bowling with second rate equipment, go for it.  On 2d thought, I bowl a lot of tournaments.  Don't know if I would want everyone to have the Lane 1 advantage against me.

Yeah, that's a great deal.

Wow, At that price you would hope the seller would throw in the KY, or at least buy you dinner. You'll be sore for weeks.
