Cherry Bomb - Initial Thoughts
« on: December 11, 2010, 02:09:45 AM »
So, I got my first Lane#1 ball in a Cherry Bomb, used from a friend.  15 lbs, I drilled the ball with a 4 inch pin, located on my VAL, CG pointed towards grip center.  I put the surface at 2000 Abralon with a coat of Ebonite Factory Finish polish.

About me:  somewhere between stroker & tweener (like 300-ish revs), 16mph speed at the pin deck, a lot of tilt, my axis is 4 3/16 right, 3/ 8 up.

This ball is awesome, plain and simple.  I've never really had a drilling like this, nor a backend reaction like this.  The ball clears the heads easily, and turns over hard, but not ridiculously hard.  But it helps carry those light hits well, that's for sure.

That said, what other balls from Lane1 would be close-ish to the Cherry Bomb?

Thanks!

Chainsaw Massacre or Time Bomb.  Only 2 pearls with similar angularity.
