Close pin drillings????
« on: October 31, 2006, 08:10:44 AM »
Hey Sawheads, need some input here. I just picked up a Black Buzzsaw, fully plugged, and it has a pin in the logo. bout on the CG. What kind of options do I have for a drilling on this?? I've never had a ball with specs like this, so I've never had to deal with it.

Will I not get the full potential outta of the ball?

Am I limited on drillings opts?

Any help would be great!

Depends on the TW. But you should have no problem using your favorite pin under drilling.

The only pin under's I've had were pin under ring, but had longer pins. What type of reaction can I expect?

Yes, you are limited with what sounds like a pin in ball. You can shift it off center, up & down as long as you can take out enough excess static weight to keep it legal. I had a blueberry with a short pin, & I just drilled it label slightly offset to the right for a tad positive side weight. The ball was fine. Kind of a smooth roll with decent length & a strong backend.

Short pins work well with 1:30 label drills. Use over 1/2 positive side and 1/2 finger. =:^D
