Cobalt Pearl Surface
« on: September 01, 2007, 06:05:00 AM »
I just resurfaced mine, followed by a hot water bath, and now I want to bring it back to box finish.

Anybody know what the box finish is? All it says is polished, kinda vague.

I have both Brunswick polishes, High Gloss and Rough Buff.

I don't remember if it's 400 sanded (base), then polished with HG or 220 followed with RB.

that ball looked more high gloss to me, i have one in the room still it is very shiny to be rough buffed. The solid cobalt is rough buffed but i think it looks high glossed.

Yeah, I remember it being really shiny when I first got it. I really liked the OOB reaction, but I changed it for some reason a while back (before I got my spinner).

I remember reading somewhere 500 or 600 grit plus High Gloss? Or that might have been for another Lane 1 ball.

Most of the answers you get from lane one on the solid resin brunswick poured balls is 600 grit polished with 3m rubbing compound.
