Cobalt question..................
« on: February 18, 2006, 12:23:19 PM »
My PAP-----5 1/4" over and 7/16th"(approximate)
 Ball speed----15-16 mph
 250-300 revs
 Right handed
Wooden lanes with Guardian---typical house shot with oil to about 36 to 39 feet with clean backends
Not sure about axis tilt or axis rotation----more up the back of the ball, but now use Storm Strong Arm set with side roll to #4 and wrist cup to #6.
Would this new ball be a good fit for me???? If so, what drill pattern(s)would you suggest??? Also, what pin length and top weight would be a good fit????
Thanks in advance for all replies, and if this isn't enough information, tell me what I need to add and I'll add it.......

Sounds like this ball will be a good match for you. The big backend of the Cobalt when combined with your slower speed will make it a great ball on lighter patterns.

I'd look into a 1-3" pin with 2 to 3 oz top weight. Drill the ball with either the pin under ring and cg out a hair (use a 1-2" pin) or pin about 1" right of the ring and the cg in line between the pin and thumbhole.

They will give you a distinct reaction but either will work on the lanes you mention.
