Cobalt Solid The Real Story
« on: July 22, 2006, 05:22:55 PM »
Man first of all this is one sweet looking bowling ball.  Second of all here is the scoop.  Earlier than the pearl version but just as much on the backend.  Smoother than a hybrid dirty and even smoother than the tsunami beleive it or not.  This one might stay in the bag for quite sometime.

Now the pics don't do it justice but they are pretty good.  Basically it reminds me alot of a V2 Clean without any pink.  Its a lot of royal blue and a little purple.  I would like to thank Richie and Chuck @ Lane#1 the greatest bowling ball company on the planet.  These guys really are world class!  More info about the weekend to come soon.

Why don't you try a used one or why don't you try a dirty bomb pearl NIB right now they are very cheap.  If you look for a deal you will find one.  I run a shop full time and my top of the line from other companys is $210 drilled without grips or slugs.  A lane#1 ball is only going to be $20 to 30 more and if you find a dirty bomb pearl it might even be $20 or $30 less.

JP,

Are you saying that this one might stay in the bag awhile becuase it is too pretty, or too strong?  Also, how would you compare this ball with the Carbide Plus?

Calvin...the specs are the same as the Cobalt pearl. The reaction is VERY similar to the original Blueberry or Black Raspberry.

It's one sweet ball....

remains to be seen, I am really loving the pearl right now, it is smooth as silk but covers a ton of boards, very deceptive how much it covers and where it comes back from, I like my lane 1 stuff, but i gotta have a place for it in the bag.  if you know what i mean
